Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Training

  1. INTRODUCTION

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a systematic approach used to recognize and evaluate the potential failure of a product or process and the associated effects of that failure.  It serves as a vital tool for organizations to identify actions that could eliminate or reduce the chance of potential failures while documenting the entire process.  Unlike conventional methods that focus on late failure correction, the FMEA approach emphasizes early avoidance and failure prevention, which significantly reduces overall time and costs.  By implementing FMEA, businesses can reduce design and process changes, lower warranty costs, and ultimately improve product quality and enhance customer satisfaction.
